Founded in 1999 with only a few families, The Newburyport Mothers Club (NMC) has now expanded to more than 700 members and keeps growing!! We are a member-led organization that provides support, information and friendship for families with young children in the Greater Newburyport area – including Amesbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Ipswich, Merrimac, Newbury, Rowley, Salisbury, West Newbury, and the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

Community Outreach

The NMC is so happy to be part of the community and take a strong civic responsibility. Below is a sample list of the donations and events we have been a proud member of.

2010 Newburyport Waterfront Movie Series

NMC donated $500 in support of The Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry's inaugural waterfront movie series. The waterfront movies series is free and open to the public.

2010 Mother's Day Basket Drive

In May, the NMC held a Mother's Day basket drive and collected 27 lovely Mother's Day baskets for mothers at the Dare House.

2010 Rail Trail & Parks

In April, NMC donated $5000 to the Newburyport Rail Trail and $500 to the parks for mulch at Cashman Park.

Newburyport Mothers Club president, Judy Speicher, will present a check for $5,000 to Clipper City Rail Trail Senior Project Manager, Geordie Vining, at a celebration held at Cashman Park on Thursday, June 24. The Newburyport Mothers Club selected the Clipper City Rail Trail as the recipient of funds raised though the club’s baby and maternity clothing consignment sales.

NMC Babysitter List

The NMC currently maintains a comprehensive list of available baby-sitters ages 12-adult.

The information on the list is provided to our members as a free service and compiled from a variety of sources, however the NMC does not endorse or claim any knowledge of the individuals listed.
